I, Luis Guillermo Fernandez Lovera, also known as Lugufelo, am a Venezuelan-American sculptor known for my multidimensional style that engages multiple senses. My sculptures, made from aluminum, stainless steel, and wood, incorporate geometric shapes and interact with natural elements like the sun and wind, creating a dynamic sensory experience.
As a student of kinetic design under the tutelage of Jesus Rafael Soto, I draw inspiration from other renowned artists such as Naum Gabo, Pablo Picasso, and Victor Vasarely. My installations can be scaled to various environments, from corporate entrances to local parks. Despite the grand scale, I seamlessly integrate small computer-generated components into my designs.
In addition to my artistic pursuits, I enjoy spending time with my family by bicycling, walking, and practicing martial arts. Recognized for my talent, I have received numerous awards and accolades, including dedicated recognition from the City of Doral, Florida. Currently residing in Venice, Florida, my artwork can be found in private collections across the Americas, Europe, and beyond.
