The infusion of art into construction is the perfect medium for lugufelo’s art.
his work can be scaled and applied to mega proportions
Hello I am lugufelo ( Luis Guillermo Fernandez Lovera ) I am Luis Guillermo Fernandez Lovera, known as "lugufelo." I’m a sculptor who emigrated to the United States to escape political and social turmoil in my native Venezuela.
My work is geometric and minimalist, characterized by its multidimensional style. My main objective is to engage the viewer's multiple senses, inviting them to continually reinterpret their observations.

My style focuses primarily on the use of geometric shapes, which I manipulate to capitalize on the tactile nature of my materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, and wood. My sculptures also interact with natural elements, such as the sun and wind, further enhancing the sensory experience.

During high school, I had the opportunity to study kinetic design under the tutelage of Jesus Rafael Soto, drawing inspiration from renowned artists such as Naum Gabo, Pablo Picasso, and Victor Vasarely.

This experience was the first formal influence that propelled me toward an artistic career. My installations can be scaled to enormous proportions and are suitable for a variety of environments, from corporate entrances to local parks. Despite the scale of my work, I also incorporate small, computer-generated components into my designs, creating a harmonious, integrated effect. When I'm not creating art, I enjoy bicycling, walking, and practicing martial arts.

I have had the honor of being a member of the Florida Association of Public Art Professionals since 2011 and have won numerous awards for my work, including the 2014 Appreciation and Achievement Award at the Hispanic Heritage Art Exhibit and 1st Place in the Sculpture Artists and Arts Juried Show in 2014. I have also been honored with a dedicated day in my name by the City of Doral, Florida.

I was born and raised in Venezuela, but I obtained US citizenship in 2009, making me an American as well. I currently reside in Venice, Florida, and my art can be found in private collections throughout the Americas, Europe, and beyond.
