At the heart of our team is Lugufelo (Luis Guillermo Fernández Lovera), the founder of Lugufelo.com and the creative force behind the brand. Born in Venezuela and now based in Miami, Lugufelo has dedicated his life to the pursuit of artistic expression through minimalist metal sculpture. Working primarily with aluminum and stainless steel, his pieces explore themes of balance, transformation, and universality, establishing him as a distinctive voice in contemporary art.

As the founder, Lugufelo not only brings his artistic vision but also sets the direction and spirit of our collective mission. His monumental works—such as the iconic “Torso” exhibited at the Venice Art Center and the vibrant “Red Butterfly” donated to Blalock Park—stand as symbols of his commitment to creating art that engages both communities and collectors.

Through Lugufelo.com, he has built more than a platform for showcasing art; he has cultivated a space where creativity, collaboration, and cultural dialogue come together. With his leadership, the team continues to grow, bringing his sculptures into new regions, audiences, and contexts around the world.

We are delighted to highlight Katty Fernández, Lugufelo’s daughter, as an integral member of our team. Based in Los Angeles, California, Katty serves as our Marketing and Sales Representative in the region, bringing both her professional expertise and her lifelong connection to Lugufelo’s work.

Growing up surrounded by her father’s sculptures, Katty developed a profound passion for art and a unique understanding of Lugufelo’s creative vision. This early exposure has shaped her ability to present and represent his work with authenticity, enthusiasm, and insight. Today, she channels this experience into expanding Lugufelo’s presence in the vibrant art scene of Los Angeles and beyond.

Katty’s role bridges art and audience—building connections with collectors, galleries, and institutions while sharing the story of Lugufelo’s minimalist sculptures. Her energy, communication skills, and dedication make her a driving force in broadening the reach of Lugufelo’s art, ensuring that new audiences experience the harmony, balance, and innovation that define his creations.

We are proud to have Katty’s support and vision as part of the team. Her passion and commitment not only strengthen Lugufelo’s presence in California but also help shape the future of his artistic legacy.

We are honored to have Dr. Milagros Bello as part of the Lugufelo team. For years, she has represented and supported the work of Lugufelo (Luis Guillermo Fernández Lovera), bringing her vast knowledge, experience, and curatorial vision to his artistic journey.

Dr. Bello is an internationally recognized curator, art writer, and sociologist of art. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology of Art from the Sorbonne University, Paris, where she studied under renowned sociologist Jean Duvignaud. With dual Master’s Degrees in Art History and Social Sciences, also from the Sorbonne, her career bridges the worlds of art and sociology, creating a unique lens through which she interprets and promotes contemporary artistic expression.

Throughout her career, Dr. Bello has served as a curator, professor, senior editor, and consultant, shaping the trajectory of countless artists while fostering dialogue within the contemporary art scene. She is the founder and director of MIA Curatorial Projects, editor and art writer for Art Miami Magazine, and has curated prestigious exhibitions across the globe, including during Art Basel Miami Beach and the Venice Biennale.

Her deep understanding of artistic languages and her ability to connect social thought with visual expression make her the perfect complement to Lugufelo’s minimalist metal sculptures. Lugufelo’s work, rooted in universal forms, balance, and simplicity, resonates powerfully with Dr. Bello’s vision of contemporary art as both a cultural and social dialogue. It is truly a pleasure to have Dr. Milagros Bello as part of our team. Her passion, knowledge, and curatorial excellence enrich Lugufelo’s artistic mission and help carry his work into new and inspiring realms.

We are also proud to have José Candela as part of Lugufelo’s team. José is the visionary owner of Art Room Inc., a studio recognized for its mastery in decorative painted finishes, the art of faux techniques, and mural creations that transform spaces into works of art. With a fully seasoned career as a color professional adviser, José collaborates with homeowners, interior designers, and architects to bring bold visions to life, merging technical precision with artistic imagination. His portfolio spans original paintings, large-format works, and fine art prints, positioning him among the best international artists in his field.

José Candela’s mastery of decorative painted finishes, faux techniques, and large-scale murals brings a rich visual dialogue to Lugufelo’s minimalist sculptures. Where Lugufelo’s creations embrace clean lines, transformation, and the strength of metal, José introduces texture, depth, and color that expand the sensory experience of contemporary art. His expertise in visual environments allows him to frame, contextualize, and even contrast Lugufelo’s sculptures in ways that highlight their elegance and symbolism. Together, their disciplines can create immersive spaces where sculpture and painted art coexist in harmony — sculpture offering permanence and form, while José’s painted finishes and murals bring movement, atmosphere, and storytelling.
