We are honored to have Dr. Milagros Bello as part of the Lugufelo team. For years, she has represented and supported the work of Lugufelo (Luis Guillermo Fernández Lovera), bringing her vast knowledge, experience, and curatorial vision to his artistic journey.

Dr. Bello is an internationally recognized curator, art writer, and sociologist of art. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology of Art from the Sorbonne University, Paris, where she studied under renowned sociologist Jean Duvignaud. With dual Master’s Degrees in Art History and Social Sciences, also from the Sorbonne, her career bridges the worlds of art and sociology, creating a unique lens through which she interprets and promotes contemporary artistic expression.

Throughout her career, Dr. Bello has served as a curator, professor, senior editor, and consultant, shaping the trajectory of countless artists while fostering dialogue within the contemporary art scene. She is the founder and director of MIA Curatorial Projects, editor and art writer for Art Miami Magazine, and has curated prestigious exhibitions across the globe, including during Art Basel Miami Beach and the Venice Biennale.

Her deep understanding of artistic languages and her ability to connect social thought with visual expression make her the perfect complement to Lugufelo’s minimalist metal sculptures. Lugufelo’s work, rooted in universal forms, balance, and simplicity, resonates powerfully with Dr. Bello’s vision of contemporary art as both a cultural and social dialogue. Together, they bring forward a union where sculpture and curatorial expertise converge, opening new pathways for Lugufelo’s art to be seen, understood, and celebrated in diverse contexts worldwide.
